Idk why people are mad at this book for being what it obviously is which is like,,, a text intended for a post secondary survey course? It’s very dry but that’s to be expected

Slightly defeating because this is an entry-level, concise book to explain the systems, people, and ideologies that have created modern day Mexico. Unfortunately… not entry level enough for me. 🤣 over the hump. Survive and advance

Tragic and fascinating so far. Just in the beginnings of the European incursion (1500ish). To any history lover - it is sad to know how little pre-Columbian information there is. To any human - the great population collapse is horrifying. Always love reading books written by people who are just insanely knowledgeable in such specific subjects.

Way over my head. This book might take awhile. But mama didn’t raise a quitter.
