I would personally recommend that anyone curious about the parts of our history not taught, or not often spoken about read this, and/or watch its documentary. That being said, in my opinion, after watching it, I thought there should be a similar book/doc done about the Russian Empire/USSR/Russia as their history is littered with equally dark periods. I still hold that opinion now after reading it.
