Yay Ajuri and Atageini are allies once more. I like how even in a book where Ilisidi is plotting in the background, she’s still present in Cajeiri, who is hers. And I do so love her dismissal of the superstitious counters,

Wow some of the scenes are so moving. I havent had any particular feelings about Nomari but him finally stepping up to the plate as lord of Ajuri was moving. God I love these books.

Awe Cajeiri being a big brother for Seimei is so damn sweet. He will make a great aiji one day, I hope we get to see him as aiji, even if it is only in the form of an epilogue for this long series.

Noooo dont hurt Uncle Tatiseigi, I will fight a bitch. If this is Geidaro’s doing, I hope Intent deals with her. Bitch.

Tano loves the fried fish. A man after my own heart. It’s the simple aspects of these characters that makes me love them. The Guild men and women are all very stoic and professional but they have fun too. Can’t believe there’s only 4 books left to the end. Hope Cherryh writes another soon!

Im glad we’ve gotten more Cajeiri focus, watching him grow and adapt to atevi politics is a joy to see
