Midthrough The Life of a Stupid Man:
"So, goodbye, then"
This story coming right after Death Register feels on purpose. Is this the narrator's registration of his own death now? Even if this was the publishing house's decision, I feel it gives both tales a connected sense around death I like.

'Death Register'
Unlike the first tale, I didn't read it twice. I hold onto my first impression, which ain't studious. I read this is autobiographical, makes sense. I felt no emotions and that was rich.

'In a Bamboo Grove'
I read this tale twice. On the second reading, and searching up for period context, I feel I finally grasped the actual meaning of it; I ended up enclosing it as 'A tale about honor/shame'. That's it.
Liked it, also, for I enjoy most unrelatable narrators.
