Marriage was nothing but wilful prostitution. The flesh trade sanctified by hypocritical society. The surface gleamed. The painted brides were no better than lacquered furniture. While the story and prose is going great so far, I must say that the lack of dialogue between charcters is making me cantankerous 😁😁
