Status Updates From Darius the Great Is Not Okay

I like that the book starts with Darius telling about tea and his enjoyment and experience of it. He explains that "[his] dream job was Rose City Teas" (Korram 3).

At the start of the book Darius The Great Is Not Okay by adib Khorram quickly establishes a relationship between the main character, Darius, and another character, Trent. Trent picks on Darius, often based on how Darius described how Trent speaks to him. Trent seems to mostly pick on him through name calling, "[he] was many things-D-Hole, D-Wad, D's Nuts" (Khorram 4). However, Darius seems to act as the biger person.

Darius is getting made fun of because his name starts with a "d" and which makes his name good for suggestive nicknames. Trent and Chip walked into the tea shop that Darius worked at and after making fun of the tea Trent had called him d-bag and then took the seat off his bike and "the wheels were missing" (Khorram 10).

I don't know much yet, but I think I'll like the book. The book talks about how "Trent and I had known each other since kindergarten" (Adib 5).

The book so far is pretty good! Darius works at the Tea Haven because he grew up loving tea. He's very cautious at where he works, and doesn't perfer people he knows from school seeing him work. One of the bully's at his school saw him working and said, "Hey! D's Nuts"(Khorram 4). Darius gets called mean names from Trent (the bully). I don't understand why Darius does not like getting seen working at his job?

I am not sure why Chip follows Troy around if he is "taller, better looking, and cooler"

Darius is a teenager who has a love for tea and is bullied by his peers constantly getting called names and teased. ''i was many things d hole d wad d's nuts but I was definetly not great if anything I was a great target for Trent Bolger" We get a short look at his problems with constant teasing even when he's doing nothing wrong.

I like how the start of this book sounds. I like how he has hobby's and enjoys tea because he is Persian and it is a big part of his culture. His friend is not very nice to him. He shows why he likes tea so much when he says " As a people group, Persians are genetically predisposed to like tea" (Khorram 2).
