Status Updates From The Bonfire of the Vanities

Even the major additions to the plot that you can see coming a mile away are still revealed with outstanding drama and exposition. This is one of the few times I've enjoyed several dialogues with a New York (cop or lawyer) accent spread throughout.

Great build-up of tension so far, expecting a big payoff.

I think I get it...this is like the "city life" version of Catch-22.

Racism and infidelity depicted in the first few minutes; boldly plowing into the drama (and perhaps a little bit ironically, but it's too early to tell) right at the start.

Been interested in this one for a long time; hoping not to be disappointed.
