Mediocre, but mercifully short. The book has big font.
One gets the distinct impression the author is trying to overcompensate for not being familiar with Singaporean by stuffing his stories too densely with exposition about Singapore trivia minutiae, which add little to the stories. The result is a stilted, lukewarmly-imaginative collection of stories.

Too much description. Too much tell instead of show. The prose reads like someone who DESPERATELY wants to show me how Creative they are. Dialogue is often stilted, the sex scenes are cringe

Fresh off reading Vandana Singh's "Ambiguity Machines", a similar collection of science/speculative fiction, the flavour and texture of the writing here is noticeably less polished.
