Seriously, who ruffles the hair of another adult, that they are only attached to professionally. Nobody does that, unless people are in a close personal relationship. This book is too touchy-feely, it‘s not normal.

The Fate Unknown, the Destination Anywhere, and the Abandon All Hope were our three shuttle ships and proof positive that our small crafts division had an even more fucked up sense of humor than Mother Universe.

Sigh. Now I remember why I stopped reading at that point. Really not a fan of protagonists stumbling into a blunder that should be obvious from space, especially with so many other characters around them who could and SHOULD have helped.
