I know this book was published in 2015, and that there *are* people who vote Republican and aren't homophobic, or are even gay themselves, and I even know that these books are meant to represent all sorts of ways that gay people exist in the world, but the line “How does how I vote explain why you kept this from me for years?” bothers me. Sorry, but it IS the party that actively tries to eat my face.

“Don’t be sorry about ruining my Christmas. Be sorry about ruining your life.”

“Some...someday—” Adrian’s voice broke. “Someday you’re going to look back and you’re going to see what you could have had. And I’m not going to wait around.” He had to force himself to say that part, because truth was he would wait. But Noah was right that he deserved more.

"Maybe you've studied rocks so long you're turning into one!"

Definitely not having feelings about people wanting their siblings to meet their brand new nieces/nephews at the hospital right after they're born...

The thing I always love about coming 'home' to Annabeth Albert is that, while it might not be the kinkiest or hottest shit, it's usually the realest, the most intimate, the most individual to each couple, and a reminder that there's something really fucking sexy about that.

More romances should start with the couple just sleeping or napping together. Even the bit about Noah knowing Adrian was hard, but happy enough to just cuddle while sleeping, was super sweet.

You know what I haven't done yet? Listened to #gaymers + Out of Uniform in order yet. (The two series are connected.) Plus I never rated or reviewed Status Update. So let's do that!
