This is giving me a headache

What I didn't know then was the mixture of Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, as well as theosophy ideas was part of the perennial influence and the talk of the new age of unity (utopia, basically) was the millenarian influence

I remember going to a meditation, some yoga group, but the yoga leader started preaching at the end, they sang a Christian song (which took me off guard coming from a ) and then the yoga/preacher guy started talking about times of destruction/disaster before a time of peace and utopia is achieved. Meditating, doing yoga, loving people, and growing your own food was suppose to help usher in this era of peace & unity

Some things I'm noticing about some theosophy teachings, Prophet's spiritual philosophy:

It's perennial

Millenarian -

These two themes are still prevalent in New Age culture, especially Millenarianism - you can see it in twin flame discourse, something about when twin flames unite it helps raise the world's vibration, consciousness, and usher in a New Age of peace or something

Prophet would be a good cult leader character. She not only founded her own church, but also encouraged all her followers to build and shelter in fall out shelters and had all these apocalyptic, doomsday prophecies

According to Wikipedia, this is the first time the concept of Twin Flames appeared in a spiritual book.

Prophet's mother was into theosophy, encouraged her daughter's spiritual beliefs.

Prophet also used the term 'Christ consciousness' in her own dogma, The Summit Lighthouse
