Why can't short story writers think up endings that don't leave you wanting to punch your Kindle?

Okay. It's obvious that "The Tale of the Three Beautiful Raptor Sisters and the Prince Who Was Made of Meat" is the jewel in this edition's crown. Creative writing at its best.

It's the first time I've read a magazine on Kindle. This is the dinosaur edition. I've read three stories so far and I can only say, they rate as average, and all of them have had very poor endings. The last one; a Queer version, was an eye opener, especially for a backward fart like me.
