Status Updates From Atticus

Not sure if the written book seems this long, but this story is DRAGGING! I don't need the main character to keep telling me how she messed up and had/has low self esteem. And the dog shenanigans don't add anything; they just make it even longer! I feel like I know where this is headed and just want it to be done already. There's not going to be anything earth-shattering at this pace.

Audiobook. I'm not a fan of the baby voice used for Atticus. It's way too overdone and annoying. Trying too hard. And Turpin is a great actress and narrator, but not for this MC. Far too ethnic/urban for a North Carolina Caucasian female (which I picture only because she mentions dying her hair).
