Status Updates From Huis in brand

Okay. So I’ve just finished Isma’s part. That girl is totally in love with Eamonn. I still don’t really feel like I understand the story. Isma’s sister Aneesh is really upset because Isma reported their brother Aneesh her twin to the authorities. I think Parish (or something) is a Jihadist (basically a Muslim terrorist) not to be confused with a Jijad (someone who strives to be the best person they can be)

Okay so, Isma is studying for her phd. She met a guy whose dad was someone’s cousin on a team and like stole the spotlight. The dad is now a politician and the guy changed his Muslim name to sound more Irish (they are in America I think, both from London) his name is Eamonn.

The first few pages and I’m already pissed off. Like. The fact the she appears to get searched at the airport and misses her flight but doesn’t get compensated for it is crazy. And the only reason she got picked for a search is her race.

These chapters showed Aneeka going through grief due to her twin brother Parvais being murdered by ISIS when he tried to escape and go back home. She shows thig grief to her older sister Isma because usually when she is going through grief she would go to Parvais. She also navigates her other family members not checking up on her and expecting so much from her.

so far this reads like a bad fanfiction but i am hopeful
