i feel like writing my own little essay in my online journal. just for myself.

this book is heavy, but i feel emotionally seen in a way i have not fully felt before

two stories in and my chest hurts. my rage burns. my throat constricts.

i’ve told myself my own story of assault was not that bad. still do. how the culture digs its claws in.

i hope i can remove the nails one by one.

Some essay hit hard than others, like any anthology. But over all was a sting mix of perspectives and expirinces.
