Aaaaaand....just as I was getting back into the story, another shot of ANGST came. "I'm going to hurt you for your own good," is one of the worst tropes ever. I can see why this isn't one of Trombley's more popular series.

Ugh. Was actually enjoying the first 35% of this, then angst for the sake of it struck— I'm so tempted to just DNF this bitch. I wanted a Lu'sian fix to see if any info was in here and what to possibly expect from an Ava story if she gets one in the other series. Realizing I like scifi & horror w/ romance elements, but not formulaic Romances. If I do, I prefer them to be comedic or specific tropes. Always low angst.
