Status Updates From Hell Ship

When this was confirmed by the sight of the pilot once more departing, many began to curse their decision to leave their beloved homeland to travel on this death ship to the far side of the Earth, only to be left alone and forgotten by the rest of the world. Nothing, however, could have been further from the truth.

Can I just say the pilot, Henry Draper, was an amazing man. His humanity was on show.

I really wish this man had a more engaging narration voice. Apparently, he's really good in person (my parents saw him perform live), but he's chosen not to show that in his audiobook. It's kinda disappointing.

That said this is a very interesting story. I'm so glad he's chosen to tell it.

So I'm going to be honest I'm reading this now for PS Reading Challenge. Nature as the Antagonist. I've known of it for years, I gave this book to my father when it was released but until I've never been tempted to read it.
It's good. Veitch has a personal connection to the story and that shows is his passion for the topic, if not his narration.
