Status Updates From Elephants Can Remember

You follow along Mrs. Oliver a lot more than Poirot in Book One. She is trying to figure out who would be a potential suspect from leading from the “elephants” 🐘

In the latest chapter I read, Poirot and his companions thought back to earlier cases. So do read the books before this one, for sure. I know I didn’t. 😱🥲

Learned another new word: Ecclesiastic. The definition: a member of the clergy or a person in holy orders, typically in a Christian church.

Towards the beginning of the book, Cornwall was mentioned and it made me think of Poldark and Demelza because they live in Cornwall. I will read that next, I hope. Depends on my mood. 💖

I learned a new word: anathema. The definition is “something vehemently disliked, loathed or shunned”. For example: the grinch anathema the Whos down in Whoville.

I was just introduced to Mrs Oliver who is a writer of mysteries. She doesn’t like a flood of women who love her but she does like the men who talk about other things versus the women.
