DON’T TAKE ANYTHING PERSONALLY

Nothing others say or do is about you. We are so caught up in our own lives/story/movie that we only see others with our limited symbology.

Pg. 52 “Whatever people think of you is really about the image they have of you, and that image isn’t you.” It’s a character they create

Be aware of how we use our words with/against ourselves and others. We decide how our life looks & feels based upon how we go through life. We are the creators (artists) of our life story. We are what we believe we are

Pg. 33 “what you believe about yourself is not real (“it’s as close to the truth as you can get w/ symbols”), and it’s not important unless you want to create a better story for yourself.”

- we are domesticated, we do things out of FEAR… fear of punishment or fear of not being rewarded
- the truth is objective (science), our interpretation of it is subjective (art)… a tree is still a tree even if we don’t call it so (truth, science), the word tree is a symbol/ language we gave to it (interpretation of truth, art)
