As a beginner, I can assure you that these stories are not for beginners. I have to use the dictionary for every other word in each sentence, but I guess that just makes it better for the learning process.

Not really for a beginner. I prefer one who completed A1 level in german can read this or who already have some reading skills and a beginner will have no problem.
