coco NO i wanted to hear the rest of the story goddamnit because !!!! the implications!!!!! if the origin story for conjuring ink is that a sentient silverwood (how does that even work idk) OFFERED UP ITS BLOOD for a witch to use, then surely the same process could work with a willing human blood bank?? does there have to be strong emotion bonding the donator to the witch??? we WILL come back to this story i know it

well. if regular conjuring ink is made from the “blood” of silverwood trees then i feel like shirahama is begging me to ask the question: “could you create conjuring ink from other types of blood? like the animal or human kind? how would that affect the magic? is that part of the forbidden magic lore?”

“the best witches (artists) are always the weirdest” yeah!!!!!! i’m immediately thinking of kei urana and how she’s talked about how all her characters end up being weirdos as if her pen just has a mind of its own and yearns to depict her quirks through the art she draws. isn’t that true for so many of us who love creating stories?

i wonder if there’s any lore attached to these figures personifying the sigils or if they’re just artistic representations of them for the sake of the storybook-esque art style. i mean surely there were og witches that created the sigils right? is there any mythology in witch society??

creating Something out of your own ideas and/or tools really does feel like flying doesn’t it. the magic of art!!!!!

even if it’s not depicting anything specific it absolutely evokes feelings of containment and anxiety and claustrophobia. and i ask again: what is qifrey’s grudge against the great hall and assumedly witch society at large? or at least the bigwigs of witch society? is it mainly personal or moral or a mix of both?
