At first I was a bit bored but this is such a good story to end off with, I love the sense of person Mohammed shah had and oh my god, just amazing. I really loved reading this.

I was wondering about how women are viewed in the story and the ending pleased me because of the feminist type message. Really liked this one.

Loved the world building and I have to say the prevalence of honour throughout was so intriguing. A story to ponder on.

The characters are established well but where even are we half the time? Confusing but I liked the plot of it, and the openness of Masumi- even though she lowkey just started trauma dumping. It’s kinda sad to hear abt the bleeding gums or being affected by poison. Really sad, but idk how this came from Pakistan. Interesting though.

I love this story sooo much and hello the postscript? This story feels special, and I feel like it’s so interesting because it has such a powerful female figure in it. I liked the story-telling and description of everything. So good I couldn’t tear myself away.

Odd way to end this story, but I liked how the writing caught my attention.

I really liked the world this was set in. I loved the theme of doing everything you can for your child, and how bittersweet the pursuit of a cure can be. Everything is confusing bc you don’t know what will work, who’s fooling you or if your kid will have the best they can have. It was really nice and I think this one was one of my favourites.

Such an interesting tale it’s so so unique and I don’t know how to describe it apart from it being so true to what conflict we might see whenever topics of change come up.

Short, but impactful in regards to hierarchical systems.

Powerful and insightful story of how conflict affects people, mainly through the perspective of villagers, their prides/ fears and jirgahs. I liked the way the story moved.

I really loved this story, my eyes were GLUED to the words and I loved the world and the vibe. It made me laugh and though I think the ending was a bit random, it was written well and in an eery way that I seem to feel after a junji ito story. I love these short stories so much.

Really interesting opposite perspectives of midwivery and abuse. I don’t know if the main character is photos or not in this story- but I think it was definitely great to read

Interesting, I’m actually so interested in the ending and what may have happened- it’s so mysterious and such an insane cliffhanger. Ready for the next story, though since this one was well written but not a fav of mine.
