I'm reaching the end, and now realize that, amidst all the praise, I barely know things about the person whose name and face graces the cover. Yes, he's more operational unlike the predecessor. He's shy, gay, reserved, focused on diversity and sustainability and has engaged in outsourcing. He was involved in Project Titan and iPhone X and Apple Park... That's all that stuck to me. It shouldn't be all I recall.

25 more pages to go and... I've finally decided to try looking at the book from a positive inspirational perspective than a critical reviewer's.
Apple participated in several endeavor to bring opportunities to the people where talent may be under-nurtured. Minorities in terms of gender, race/ethnicity, ability. It also references about good people staying quiet.
What have I done for others? Why? I am asked to think

3 more chapters to go, and each seems to be thinner than the previous one.

Halfway through the book.
The 6th chapter answered the question I had after completing the 5th one. The author talked about the exploitative practices of Foxconn because the rebuttal was planned for 6th.
To most of me, the book comes off as neutral now. However, there is a part of me - perhaps a cynical one - still refuses to believe all the praise. There's a lot of praise for Cook's leadership. Too much positive.

You think you're reading a fanboy account. You probably are. But there are too many red flags I notice between the lines. What was going on here?

Unfortunately, I can already see the fanboy-ish writings of the author shine through the text. Not a great sign for this kind of books
