I am a huge fan of Sally Field’s work. She sounds to have had an interesting life and parts of the book were really interesting. But, whilst there were some incredibly harrowing moments in the book and awful things that she had to go through, I found there was little joy to be found. Even positives she mentioned sounded negative. I was a little disappointed to find her so negative. Not sure what I expected.
