Status Updates From On the Other Side of the Hill

I was not expecting that ending. Ugh not really interested in reading about them in town.

9-5.pg305. Ugh I was supposed to finish this today.

This last chapter on the cyclone was crazy! Farm life was so rough back then.

It’s disappointing Laura ended up just like her mom; she was spunky as a kid. Some of these stories are similar to Little House so it feels like you’re reading them again, like the chapters with the mean teacher.

Some on day 4. I couldn’t believe there was yet another natural disaster they faced. This was such an eventful story with so many major things going on in her life. I enjoyed the sweet moments and the changes in scenery and people.

I’m so upset I didn’t finish tonight, due to a home crisis. It’s wild the natural disaster they experienced on top of the usual weather issues. And the unbelievable miracles and amazing occurrences. It’s been an eventful segment of her life.

Only read a little on lunch and some this evening. There are some sweet moments and interesting bits about life back then and what was going on, cool to learn how they felt and thought about things. Just when you think Rose is learning she goes and does a big outburst and ruined the outing! Interested to see where their lives go from here.

So pleased with all the progress I made on my day off. There have been some cute and funny moments, so I’m enjoying this one. There are changes in scenery and breaks from the usual routines so that has been nice. I always marvel at how the writing is so similar to Little House.
