Status Updates From No Way Out

I'm only reading because I feel obliged too: I paid precious moola for it and it was expensive! But I've had it. AWFUL. I was sucked in because of those themes--autonomy struggle, mental health--but maaaan, the repetition and "reader, you are a dumbass" problems are outstanding. Characters all one-dimensional, encapsulating a single emotion/thought (evil, good, pity, etc.) The only good thing is the cover.

I am definitely intrigued (so many of my bliss themes), but where was the poor girl's editor? Her support group? Someone should have helped Hayes out and told her to chop out all the repetition. "Jesus Christ, I get it, I get!" I keep yelling at the two mcs.
