How to Read the Bible Book by Book and Transition by Transition is highly recommended for study. Use the Student Edition Firebible ESV and The Bible Recap Bible by Tara-Leigh Cobble.

It is great so far and I expect to get a lot out of it! The first few thoughts is that interpreting the Bible should be done to extract the meaning the author intended. Looking for uniqueness in the Bible should not be the intent. Uniqueness often leads to incorrect interpretation or, reading into the text personal beliefs. The aim of good interpretation should be simple: getting the plain meaning of the text.
