So, having jumped ahead and around to some of the more immediately pressing or puzzling subchapter headings a few times, I've begin to read this.
It's a fascinating subject, but easy to mess up, though I doubt Johnson will mess it up.

I jumped ahead to read the section on the valley of dry bones for a Bible Study. That was VERY useful. I am presently luxuriating in re-reading the table of contents and thinking about the organization.
