I think if I hadn't already read A Wizard's Guide To Defensive Baking, I would like this more. I'm gonna keep reading to see if the intrigue picks up, but I've already figured out the plot twist (I say with 98% confidence - it's way too obvious) so I'm not really feeling like there's gonna be much reward. I mostly just want to give this book its due since it was written before AWGTDB 👀
