Status Updates From Deep Harbor

So far the protagonist is a naïve alcoholic who should have reported things to the authorities on several occasions. But if she had done so, she wouldn’t be playing Nancy Drew and getting herself into trouble. And then this book would never have happened—which might have been a good idea. Not sure if I’m going to finish this or not.
