Just because someone can afford to take taxis does not make it an eccentricity to take public transport. In a Zoom meeting the other day, someone said that of course if anyone was on public transport we know that they (we) don’t have great health insurance. It’s not great that public transport is not framed as a good option to consider independent of wealth. We will lose public transit with ideas like this.
