+ Killian: Earl Grey, a reliable prince who’s a little more than meets the eye

+ Jeppe: apple black tea, cause he’s a horse and basically Lars in horse form

I’ve had a bad day so far but reading this should make it a whole lot better

I love how Killian keeps making smart remarks even though Lars and Rose can't understand him

I think it's time I return to this world

I am already convinced that this is one of those books that are very much worth reading.

The reunion of Lars and Jeppe is one of my favorite parts of this book. =D

Her gaze fell to Lars who lay on the makeshift bed, pale and listless.

"He's right," she murmured. "I'm completely useless. I couldn't do anything t' help."

Awww. Rose. :(

"Killi, don't even think about it." Lars scowled down at him.

"You can understand him?" Damian raised his eyebrows in surprise.

"We're brothers. I know when he's going to do something stupid."

"Sounds familiar." Felix smirked.

"Where'd you get him?" Adam sat on the bench beside Lars, sending it rocking again. "Wolf, isn't he?"

"Not full." Lars scowled defensively. "He's been following me around since he was a pup."

That, at least, was true.

Killian had always been adept at manipulating his brother, even before he had an irresistible canine charm. Killian dropped his ears and let his head droop, staring up at Lars from under hooded lids.

"Killian, don't you dare!"

A low whine escaped.

"That is not fair!"

Killian dropped his head to rest atop his paws.

"Fine!" Lars scowled. "But I'll get my revenge when you're least expecting it."

"You ever see a wolf act like this? It tried t' approach me at t' river." She glanced down at Killian, who pricked his ears hopefully.
You understood! Please keep talking! He's an idiot on his good days.
