The visible people of God in Christ's church are those who have made professions of faith in Jesus Christ, who have been baptized, and who participate in the Lord's Supper; included in this visible people of God are the children of such believers.

Wherever we see the Word of God purely preached and heard, and the sacraments administered according to Christ's institution, there, it is not to be doubted, a church of God exists.

Events that happen to us are not purposeless, but full of meaning, granted to us from the hand of God.
