Oh my god! LOL! Yes. Have the drug dealers help the drug users based not on their profit margins but on their ethics. Companies have always voluntarily put ethics ahead of profit. Netflix, who claims their biggest competition is sleep and implemented auto play to keep you watching, values your well-being.🤪

The idea that a possible solution might be to give tech companies even MORE of your information (“preferences”) so their algorithms can “automatically predict” what you want “even better” and you can pay for an ad free version of that captive convenience is bonkers to me.

It’s mostly reporting on the ills of technology without quite being anti-technology but isn’t as focussed on concrete solutions (yet?) as I would like.
