Status Updates From Someone Knows

The book opened in 2019 with Allie Garvey, returning home and visiting a cemetery. She commented on the death of a teenager by suicide but indicate it was not suicide. The next chapter returns are to 1999 and tracks her as she is running and meets Sasha Barrow. They see two boys, David and Julian, digging in the woods. They were looking for a blue flower, but found a gun instead. Ali also recall her sister Jill.
