Finished the second book of this box set. Not quite sure I like the character development t for Seb. Dragon? Really?? It’s just a bit out there and hard to wrap the head around. In reflection, feels like a typical middle story. Looking forward to see how it all resolves.

Completed book 1 of 3. I am enjoying the saga and character development of unlikely dragon riders (Seb, who is not a noble, and Thea, b/c she is a girl and usually not chosen) and their dragon Kalax, who obviously knew what Seb and Thea had to offer. Off to a rough pairing, the two humans eventually find themselves functioning as a team of three with their dragon and with mutual respect.
