"Shooting Iron," by Cassandra Khaw and Jonathon L. Howard. Original, unique Fantasy-Western with hints of sci-fi (time travel or perhaps alternate universe or quantum leaps, but left fir interpretation.) Skillful writing and great style. Some of the bad-ass dialogue from the main character cow-girl seemed forced but it worked for the most part. Great piece!

Powerless is right wing agit-prop. SF&F dies a good job presenting a diversity of opinions, so I take it as one point of data in a broader palette of narrative. However, if I want to propagandized I’ll go hit The Daily Caller or Breitbart.
