Status Updates From Silent Burn

I hate this, I feel so helpless. Travis is alone, my brothers are off after the man responsible for all of this and I am stuck here with my knee sliced wide open. Bryan comes up to me. “Charliee, they are taking Travis to the hospital now. He is breathing but they have no idea of what injuries he has.” “I want to go with him.”

Her hand comes up in the “I love you” sign again, I place mine on hers. “You know, most women want mushy words when a guy tells them he loves her.” She smiles. “You gave me the mushy words, but you created a way I understand perfectly to actually say the words. My heart fell a little deeper in love with you for that.”

Story is good. There are wrong words, places where no indication is given that a scene has switched and the sexy times are not great. Some repetition as we get one POV the the other person's POV of same thing.

“How do you sign the word beautiful?” She brings her hand up to in front of her face, palm facing in, and makes a rainbow-like action across her face. “I think you’re beautiful,” I sign the word she just showed me. “Even when you cry.” I lean down and kiss her, tasting the salty tears on her lips. She instantly deepens the kiss.

“Be careful and have fun.” Then he signs something else at her and turns to me. “You better take care of her.” I nod my understanding and watch as the second person tonight walks out of the house after warning me to take care of her. I understand where everyone is coming from when it comes to this woman. I have felt the same need to protect her since we pulled her out.

“If you don’t look at me when you are talking, I have no idea what you are saying.” That’s when it hits me. Last night her brother had said she was deaf. Now I know I shouldn’t have come up here alone. I have no idea how to tell her who I am or what I am doing in her room.

Levi lunges for the door, pulling my arm so hard it almost causes me to drop my dinner. “All right, all right, slow down. What is wrong with you tonight?” I push open the door and take a step outside. That’s when all at once I feel the ground shake and scorching heat slams into my back, throwing me forward, then darkness!

just having such loving feelings about this book!! Luv the main characters-Charliee and Travis <3.

Ohhh I am really enjoying this book Sooooo far!! Firefighter meets deaf girl in a horrible accident.. Can't wait to read more.
