There is a point at which pride is just stupidity. And demanding you are the only one to take revenge on your attacker is just brainless. She is way too weak. And who doesn’t want partners to strengthen you when there’s an enemy!?

The assault and trauma response makes me so frustrated. If you hide and lie to your partners so they won’t know you were assaulted, how can they help you? And now you can’t stand to be around a partner because they have a similarity to your abuser!? Ugh. This makes me so mad!

Intro of one more random plot line. Sigh. It’s all so unfocused. I guess because this was published as a serial first?

How many times have I started an urban fantasy series that was soooo good and the author doesn’t know how to make a series that really gels and keeps my interest?
Sigh. This book feels like it’s going nowhere. Just random, unrelated events.

Chapter 13:
I thoroughly enjoyed the haunting. As Adie said, it reminds me a lot of my videogames. Plus, it was pretty hilarious to see a parody of that trope.
