Guns or Butter was a pathetic neckbeard power fantasy. It was also 3x longer than any other story in here so far and significantly worse. With a poorly-rendered accent and editing discontinuities to boot!

The decision to pick up this book was sparked by my interest in speculative design, and the relationship it has to other speculative creative projects. I'm excited. Also, my partner thinks I should read/watch more science fiction...and this was my creative response to his challenge!

one major thing that annoys me about this book is the editing. Some stories have PoV shifts every couple of paragraphs, scene changes without informing you, and inconsistent changes/jumps in time. It can all be very confusing figuring out what's going on.

"Have Ichthyosaur, Will Travel" - D.K. Latta - The most interesting speculation about what killed off the dinosaurs, maybe ever. Plus a nice indictment of billionaires of course.
