This book is so old that doubt it’s going to be relevant and progress my knowledge further, but here we go

The leaders from impoverished areas like Oakland, CA, tended to focus on 3 areas: social justice, political solutions, and social change. They cared primarily about "the people."

The leaders I met from affluent places like Marin County, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley [focused on] ecology, business solutions, and inner change. They were champions of the environment who cared primarily about "the planet."
