This might actually be the worst book I’ve ever read. The level of misogyny in here is astounding, even for being written in the 90s. I can’t tell if it is set that way so readers can take a deep dive into the horror of men like Mark, but I truly don’t understand what meaning is to be found from the line: “silent slut Sam.” Vanessa is right, there is nothing to learn from someone like Mark.

finally started this today. It has taken me years to finally get to this book.
