A premissa é interessante e a narrativa flui rápida, porém dois motivos me fizeram não apreciar tanto essa leitura. O primeiro foi o ranço que tomei do personagem principal e o segundo foi as atitudes dos personagens que não condiziam nem um pouco com a idade deles. Honestamente, não sei se lerei o próximo volume dessa duologia.

Whoa, this book is freaking me out ...

Is it /supposed/ to be a military recruitment-type book towards MG readers? Because that's how it's coming off. There's HUGE glorification of the military & "Be prideful of the uniform, but not of your abilities," then only ID-ing the enemy by their appearance (there's even a mention about how the enemy could ""secretly be lizards underneath"" nice antisemitism there).
