Just finished A Way to a Gentleman’s Heart by Theresa Romain and thoroughly enjoyed it. I loved the characters and found the plot original. I will be looking for other books by Ms. Romain.

Review: It was great but I find everything proceeded rapidly after chapter 6, particularly when Bridget went to find, Jimmy, her son in the orphanage. The headmistress of the orphanage just let Jimmy go without further investigation.

Review: It was too dragging that I tried so hard to finish it. There were some parts that I read without understanding them. In my opinion, those scenes can be deleted.

Marianne was terribly easy. Plus, she and Jack were making things complicated that my head ached when they were having a conversation or when the author was explaining their emotions.

Chapter 4: Marianne was terribly easy. She invited Jack to slake his manly urges on her without the benefit of an explanation and she hadn't even forgiven him yet when she offered herself on a silver platter.

Chapter 1: I really dislike it when a female or a male gets ahead of herself or himself.

Finished Theresa Romain's novella "A Way to a Gentleman's Heart." I hate to say that I thought it was slow and the long descriptions of food a bit tedious. In a short novella, I want to read more about the characters than the cooking. More interesting side characters, like the sister.

This was a second chance romance. I'm curious about this Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies and wanted this further explored.
