What I find so amusing is that Kyle is constantly banging on about Althea being spoiled by her father - but Malta is frankly the most spoiled child so far - all done by Kyle himself. Though I am concerned by the Malta POV, she’s only a child and I worry something bad is going to happen at this ball.

I’m Malta’s biggest hater.

Really want Kennit to stop having the inner monologue of a psychopath so I can root for his character.

I will say though, he is a proper anti-hero. I’m rooting for him, but he is a bad guy in all the ways one can be. I just hope that he and Etta get a happy ending and not a psychotic one.

Can’t believe I just read the word “geezer” with my own two eyes in a real book.

I'm loving this book, but its SLOW GOING and some of the characters are (by design) SO punchable. I wanna finish the series but I still have somewhere in the 2000 page range left to go :( May need a break after this book, to come back fresh for book two later!
