I hated the miscommunication trope, but now I completely despise it. This book is giving me anxiety. Love the first two, and this one is like having your knees bashed in with a crowbar. At least Audrey Rose finally sees what she has done. Has she told Thomas and her uncle the truth? No! Is she still lying to Thomas and Liza? Yes!
Spare me and the poor unicorns they talked about on page 228. Stop being a lying fool.

Audrey Rose: “Oh no! The consequences of my actions have led to the man I love questioning me! Whatever will I do?”
I hate this trope and I despise this stupid bargain with Mephistopheles. The mystery is still interesting, but the fact that this whole creepy gross thing is going on between the two is just bleh!
And poor Thomas! 😭
Yep, this one is definitely the worst in the series. Hopefully it ends well.

Lo mejor es el comienzo ahora se me está haciendo algo denso. El ambiente circense no me termina de llamar la atención. Pensaba que el barco y estar ahí aislados tendría más protagonismo. Lo que me tiene enganchada realmente es el misterio.
