The author takes such liberties with the magical and fantasy aspect of her books. It reads more like sloppy plot lines. About halfway through Charlie raises a body and says something about the man making a sound like a snort if he had air, yet all raised spirits still talk which requires air to pass over vocal cords. These inconsistencies are annoying to me.
