Not a surprise, all these great reviews. The main character is interesting, so are the well dosed flashbacks in time, to the cruelties on the eastern front and to Israel shortly after the war. Weber carefully gives him a clear background, an adversary, a partner, a lover, a motive and so on. Very well done.

Ik zou dit boek geen thriller noemen, eerder een boek over de tweede wereldoorlog en de vlucht van nazi-kopstukken maar ook gewone soldaten, naar Zuid-Amerika.
