Story 3 What’s Expected of Us: Extremely short. Extremely effective. Determinism, free will, and belief.

So far I’m blown away with this collection. Hit after hit. Ted Chiang, I was unfamiliar with your game.

Story 2 Exhalation: “The universe began as an enormous beast being held”. A society of robots facing down their inevitable doom. About mortality, legacy, and the passage of time. So alien in setting but so familiar in themes. Fantastic.

Story 1 The Merchant and The Alchemist’s Gate: Loved it. Reads like a fairy tale. Like a story from the Arabian Nights mixed with the Twilight Zone.
