Four hours in and all we've done is just constantly do brothel things. I'm so bored and I don't care about anyone. Why do I have to listen to brothel life for four hours? If this wasn't an audiobook I'd have quit by now

I love the book so far. The author gives a beautiful balance of telling the distant past and the more recent past events. Although a little confusing at first. The conversation in between the story telling is really interesting. As I read all I keep hoping is that the protagonist will be allowed to live after the recorded events are heard.
